About the assignment
A leading organisation is strengthening its customer identity and access management (CIAM) capability. You'll own the full lifecycle: from user authentication through authorisation and lifecycle management.
You tackle real challenges: scaling identity infrastructure for growth, integrating legacy systems with modern platforms, and ensuring compliance across jurisdictions. Your work directly impacts customer experience and security posture.
Your responsibilities
- Design and configure CIAM solutions using industry platforms (Okta, ForgeRock, or similar)
- Manage user identity lifecycles: onboarding, attribute management, deprovisioning
- Implement role-based and attribute-based access control (RBAC/ABAC) policies
- Monitor and troubleshoot authentication and authorisation flows in production
- Conduct identity audits and remediate access violations
- Collaborate with developers and security teams on API integrations
- Document architecture decisions and maintain runbooks for operational teams
- Stay current on identity standards (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML) and emerging threats

Must-haves
- 3+ years hands-on experience with CIAM or IAM platforms
- Strong understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth, OIDC, SAML)
- Proficiency in identity lifecycle and access governance
- Experience troubleshooting identity integrations and API flows
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice-to-haves
- Background in customer-facing identity solutions (B2C/B2B2C)
- Experience with multi-tenant identity architectures
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2)
