With secondment, MVProfessionals takes on the employer role. The cybersecurity professional is legally employed by us and seconded to your organisation. You pay a monthly fee and bear no employer risk regarding illness, dismissal or other employment law matters.
The key advantage of this model is the temp-to-perm option: after a successful collaboration of 6-12 months, you can convert the professional to a permanent contract. Secondment offers more certainty and continuity: the professional is exclusively available to you, has an employment contract with us, and you bear no employer risk. Additionally, secondment offers the option of conversion to a permanent contract.
Secondment is more cost-effective when you need flexibility, when you want to evaluate a professional before offering a permanent contract (try before you hire), or when you temporarily need additional cybersecurity capacity for a project of 6+ months. You save on recruitment and selection costs and bear no employer risk in case of illness or dismissal.
After a minimum of 6 months of secondment, you can take over the professional on a permanent contract. We apply a transparent residual value arrangement: the conversion fee decreases as the secondment period increases. After 12 months, the conversion is typically free of charge or at a minimal fee. The exact terms are contractually agreed upon in advance.
With secondment, you bear no employer obligations. MVProfessionals is the legal employer and handles all HR matters: payroll administration, pension contributions, insurance, absence management and career coaching. You pay a monthly fee and can focus entirely on the professional collaboration with the specialist.
We actively monitor performance through monthly evaluations with both you and the professional. In case of dissatisfaction, we act immediately. If necessary, we provide a replacement candidate within 2 weeks at no additional cost. The replacement guarantee is a standard part of every secondment contract.
The average duration is 12 to 18 months, but engagements of 6 to 24+ months are common. Many engagements end in a conversion to permanent employment after 9-12 months. Extension is straightforward and can be arranged on a monthly basis without restarting the process.
