IAM Specialist – Entra ID & Identity Governance
About the assignment
A major organisation is strengthening its identity and access management (IAM) infrastructure. You'll take ownership of Entra ID implementation, user provisioning, and role-based access control to secure thousands of identities.
You'll bridge technical deployment with governance frameworks, ensuring access decisions align with business rules and compliance requirements. This interim role offers autonomy to shape identity strategy while working with modern cloud-first architecture.
Your responsibilities
- Design and configure Entra ID (Azure AD) tenant settings, authentication policies, and conditional access rules
- Manage user provisioning, role assignments, and deprovisioning workflows across integrated systems
- Implement RBAC and ABAC models to enforce least-privilege access principles
- Monitor identity governance compliance, audit logs, and access reviews
- Collaborate with security and business stakeholders to align access policies with risk appetite
- Document identity architecture, runbooks, and disaster recovery procedures
- Troubleshoot authentication and authorization issues in production environments

Must-haves
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Entra ID or Azure AD
- Strong understanding of RBAC, ABAC, and identity governance concepts
- Experience managing user provisioning and access lifecycle workflows
- Proficiency with PowerShell or Graph API for automation
- Knowledge of authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, SAML, MFA)
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with SailPoint, CyberArk, or other IAM platforms
- Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture principles
- Background in GRC or compliance-driven access control
